Mrs. Sarah Sue Callanan Bethshears, 74, of Nashville, Tennessee, went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 2, 2016.
Born in Nashville, Tennessee, she is the daughter of Helen Elizabeth West Callanan and Edward Joseph Callanan; and was a 1960 graduate of West High School.
Sue is survived by her husband of 55 years, Fisher C. "Gabby" Bethshears. Also survived by two daughters, Sharon McDowell, and Lisa Mason (Mike), four grandsons, Wesley McDowell, Jacob McDowell, A.J. Mason and Jeremy Mason.
She served for 38 years as secretary of Harpeth Heights Baptist Church. During these years, she taught Sunday School, and was involved with Christian Women's Job Corp. and Children's Evangelism Conference.
During her time of service, Sue was a faithful member of Harpeth Heights Baptist Church for 38 years and Bellevue Baptist Church for seven years.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at Bellevue Baptist Church with a memorial service to follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Alive Hospice.
