Sarah Catherine (Parris) Reynolds, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2024, at the age of 94, in Nashville, TN. She was born on November 11, 1929, in Spartanburg, SC.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Howard Kenneth Reynolds; parents, Jesse Parris and Annie Lou Parris; daughter, Sara Elaine Reynolds; and granddaughter Renee Bone.
Survived by her children, Paulette Reynolds and David Reynolds (Teresa); grandchildren, Dana Lewis, Abigail Reynolds Ray (Hill), Cooper Reynolds (Kylie), and Cade Reynolds; great-grandchildren, Erica, Preston, Ashton, DaLayna, Isaak, Karissa and Daxton.
Sarah loved the Lord, and her life exemplified the servant heart of Jesus in everything she did. She grew up in Spartanburg, SC where she started working at a dress shop at the age of 14 and later as a bank teller where she met her husband. She spent most of her married life in Nashville where she worked in the kitchen at Two Rivers Baptist Church. In retirement, she spent many years as a compassionate caregiver for her mother and later her husband. She also spent lots of time with her grandchildren who loved their “Baba” dearly. Sarah had such a pleasant disposition and loved to laugh. She was easy to love and will be missed by many.
A visitation will be held on Friday, February 16, 2024,from 1:00 pm until the Celebration of Life at 3:00 pm at The Pavilion at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home located at 9090 Highway 100, Nashville, TN 37221. A visitation will also be held on Sunday, February 18, 2024, from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
