Mrs. Shawn Leigh Sears Franks of Nashville, passed away Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at St. Thomas West Hospital.

A native of Davidson County, she was the daughter of Walter Everett Sears and Peggy Price Sears, of Franklin.

Shawn was a 1976 graduate of Bellevue High School where she played flute in the marching band. She earned her Bachelor Degree in Psychology from Lipscomb College. Following college she worked in the banking industry before dedicating her life to the home, raising and caring for her family.

She was an active volunteer at Lipscomb Elementary and High School throughout her son's school years. She loved her family and enjoyed her special time spent with her mother.

Shawn is survived by her husband: Rick Franks; son: Reid Leigh Sears Franks; parents: Walter Everett and Peggy Price Sears; a brother: Steven Sears; nephew: Graham Sears; brother-in-law: David Earl Franks; and her two dogs: Rey and Mary.

Her family will receive friends on Friday, September 8 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home. Burial services will be private.
