Sherri L. Hughes Galbreath, age 54, passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on Tuesday, September 4, 2018, at Centennial Hospital in Nashville.
She was born in August of 1964 to Robert and Betty Hughes. She grew up in Franklin, Tennessee and was a member of Harpeth Heights Baptist Church for the last 51 years. She lived in Fairview, Tennessee for the last twenty plus years, where she spent many years heavily involved in the community. She was responsible for help to start the junior pro football team, the Fairview Titans, where she spent many years working as the cheerleading director. She was a longtime employee of Lifeway Christian Resources for the last 30 years, where she worked as an account representative. When she was not working, she spent all her time with her two grandsons, Devin and Dylan. She was hard working, loving and would do anything for anybody.
She is survived by her husband, Kregg Galbreath. Daughters, Amanda and Sarah Galbreath. Grandsons, Devin and Dylan Proctor. Parents, Robert and Betty Hughes. Sister, Debra (Robert) Perkins. One nephew, Dustin Jones.
The family will receive friends Thursday afternoon from four until eight o'clock in the evening at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home. A Celebration of life service will be conducted Friday at twelve o'clock in the afternoon at the Harpeth Hills Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.
