Age 89 of Nashville passed away on September 13, 2014.

Shirley was preceded in death by her loving husband of 66years, Bill; beloved sister & brother, Betty Jane & James Skorik; grandson, William Love; step grandson, Robbie Walsh.

She is survived by four children; Holly (Tom) Walsh, Kerry Love Dunn, Daniel Love & Russell (Tika) Love; grandchildren, Ryan (Amy) & Taylor Walsh, Jason & Jillian Johnson & Tim Love & Chris (Bridget) Love, her sister; Marion Stoller; sister in law; Susan Skorik of Milwaukee, WI & 5 great grandchildren.

Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Shirley Attended Rufus King High School and Worked for Northwestern Mutual before meeting her husband Bill Love. They moved to Nashville in 1958. Shirley was first and foremost a devoted wife and mother. She worked for Castner Knott in Harding Mall up until her retirement in 1986. She was also devoted to her Church and community. She loved her volunteer work at the American Heart Association, and Vanderbilt Children's Hospital.

Shirley was a long-standing active member of Concordia and Our Savior Lutheran Churches, where she was past President of the Lutheran Woman's Missionary League, member of the Social Ministry and Evangelism Committees, Choir and a Sunday School Teacher.

The family will receive friends at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home, Nashville, TN on Saturday, September 20, 2014 from 10:00 am until service time at 11:00 am. Interment to follow in Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.

In Lieu of flowers memorials can be sent to Our Savior Lutheran School, The American Heart Association or to Alive Hospice.

The family would like to send a special thank you to Provision Living and Alive Hospice Residential Center for the dedication and care of their Mother.
