Shirley L. Speer- Age 69, of Franklin, passed away April 28, 2020.
Shirley was a strong and spirited woman with a quick wit. She enjoyed singing in church and also with her sisters, going to Bible study and watching the birds from her window. She loved Jesus, her family, and most of all, being a grandmother.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ruth Melvinie Harrell Deaton and Willie Love Deaton; sisters, Elizabeth Luye, Mary Traw; brothers, John Deaton, J.C. Deaton, and Jimmy Deaton. Survived by her husband, Joel C. Speer; children, Stacey Beyer (John), Kelley Beaman, and Lori Wyatt; grandchildren, Maribeth Beyer, Anna Grace Beyer, Will Beyer, Jackson Beaman, and Sutton Wyatt; sisters, Norene Heinemann (Carl), Betty Warren (J.R.), Barbara Hoyt (Garry), and Carol Stephens (Larry); several extended family and friends.
