Stan Koch passed away after a brief fight with bone cancer in Nashville, TN on October 2, 2015 at the age of 89. Stan was preceded in death by his devoted and loving wife of 56 years, Doris Koch. He is survived by 4 daughters Debbie (Joe) Noe, Mickey Keith (Michael Todd), Becky (David) Fellows and Theresa (Don) Sanford. Stan's grandchildren include Tony (Cyndi) Saia, Michael Saia and Emily (Tony) Stewart, Walter Keith, V, Michele Keith, Jonathan Fellows, Whitney Fellows Collins, Ben, Zach and Caitlin Sanford. Great Grandchildren Walker and Wyatt Saia, Noah and Bella Stewart, Harper Keith, Sophia Saia and Joule Collins.
Stan was born in Perth Amboy, NJ, April 12, 1926 where he graduated from Perth Amboy High School and attended Cal Tech before being called to duty into the Army Air Force in 1944. He earned his pilot wings at Napier Air Force Base in Dothan, Alabama, while at Napier Air Force Base Stan meet his future bride who also earned her pilot wings and shared Stan's love of flying. Stan organized a boys group to teach radio control airplanes in the Nashville area. He enjoyed sharing his knowledge and competing in events.
On Friday, October 9, 2015, Visitation will be held from 12:30 to 2:30 with the service immediately following
a Harpeth Hills Cemetery.
