Stella Tidwell - Age 80, of Bon Aqua, passed away peacefully at home on December 21, 2017.
Mrs. Tidwell was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, grandmother & great-grandmother. She enjoyed cooking, working in the yard as well as her garden, going to the mountains, but most of all spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was also a devoted Christian and member of Parham's Chapel for the last 20 years.
Preceded in death by her parents, Callie Estelle McCool Hooper and James Lanell Hooper; daughter, Valerie Lynn Tidwell; sisters, Virginia Pickett, Zona Mae Lyons; brothers, James Hooper, Lewis Hooper and David Hooper. Survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Leroy Tidwell, son, Lee Tidwell (Penny); grandchildren, Alisha Harrigan (Robert) and Nathan Tidwell; great-grandchildren, Natalie and Canaan; brothers, Jerry Hooper and Harold Hooper (Martha Ann); several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
A Funeral Service will be 12:00pm, Saturday, December 23rd with burial to follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be 4:00pm - 8:00pm, Friday at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens, 9090 Hwy 100, Nashville, TN, 37221, 615-646-9292, harpethhills.com
