Stephanie Lynne Bruce, age 59, passed away on March 19, 2021. Preceded in death by sister, Sharon Rowe Powell; father, Don Cook; best friend, LaVonna Worsham; fur baby, Debo.
Survived by mother, Sylvia Cook Witt; spouse, Tom Bruce; daughters, Briana Bruce, Kelly (Tyler) Merryman; grandsons, Bryson Merryman (10), Mason Merryman (8), Dale Bruce (3); birth father, Glenn Rowe; half-sister, Dawn Rowe (James) Pierce; half-brother, Glenn David Rowe, and a slew of other family members and friends.
Stephanie loved her family and friends. Her grandsons were the light of her life. She enjoyed collecting dolls and being the life of the party. Stephanie was the first quadriplegic in Tennessee to get her driver’s license. She was such an inspiration to many. She went back to school and received her master’s degree in social work. Stephanie worked for as a vocational rehabilitation counselor for many years. She helped veteran’s with an opportunity for higher education and job placement.
There will be visitation March 24th, 4:00 — 8:00pm and March 25, 1:30 – 2:30pm with a celebration of life at 2:30 all at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home 9090 Highway 100 Nashville, TN, 37221
