On Saturday, February 27, 2021, Stephen Edward Smith, loving husband and father of three, passed away at the age of 56. Stephen resided in Nashville, TN, and is survived by his wife of 21 years Mary (Kohl) Smith, daughters Emily and Ellen, son Christopher, mother Jane (Stephens) Smith, brother Scott Smith, and sisters Judy (Smith) Hollandsworth and Joy (Smith) Heimermann. He is preceded in death by his father Barry Smith.

Steve attended Hillwood High School in Nashville, and he worked at Import Specialty Service as an automotive technician for many years before retiring.

Steve was a loving husband, beloved father, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend to many. He was known for his kind and gentle spirit, courage, and sense of humor.

Funeral Mass will be held at Saint Henry Catholic Church on Thursday, March 11, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. Please observe all CoVid precautions. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Down Syndrome Association of Middle Tennessee.
