Steve Taylor age, 64, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2021. He is preceded in death by his parents, Earby Edwards Taylor and Mary Ann Taylor Minton. He is survived by his Wife of 18 years, Jane Taylor, children, Chelsie (Allen) Sircy, Hollie (Matt) Murphy and Joshua Taylor, grandchildren, Emma Grace Murphy, Aidan Murphy and Porter Sircy, brothers, Jimmy (Mary) Taylor and Kenny (Pearl) Taylor and numerous nieces and nephews.
Steve was a retired deputy Sheriff with Davidson County Sheriff’s office after 34 years of service. He served in the United States Navy where he was a Plank member on the USS Elliott. Known as “Happy” by his grandchildren, he loved his family and had a great sense of humor. He loved to take motorcycle trips and was a member of the Harley Davidson Ring of Fire chapter. He also loved to help anyone he could without needing any recognition.
Visitation with the family will be on Thursday May 6, 2021, from 4-8 PM at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home and Friday May 7, 2021 from 10:30-12:30 with a Celebration of Life service to follow at 12:30 PM at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home. Davidson County Sheriff’s Department will serve as pallbearers.
