Steven Ray "Big E" Skelton, Sr. - Age 70, of Fernvale, passed away August 28, 2017.
Steven Skelton was a loving man that gave his whole heart to his family. He was cunning when need be, and confounded others with his knowledge. He was talented in debate and would do anything to win, no matter what the task. Steven was a sportsman that loved to fish, and spent many of his days embracing the great outdoors. He held steadfast to his relationship with God, which influenced much of who he tried to be. Steven lived his life in peace, and was a man like no other.
Preceded in death by his parents, Violet Jane Grant Skelton and Allie William Skelton; brother, Allie Bill Skelton. Survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Joyce Ann Skelton; adoring children, Janie Louanna Skelton-Litvaitis (Joe) and Steven Ray Skelton, Jr. (Misty); 4 grandchildren, Anna Jane Bass, Steven Luke Skelton, Jake Barrett Skelton & Elijah Grant Skelton; sister, Alice Jane Scott (Clifford); brother, Mike Grant Skelton (Kristine Stoelo); beloved dog, Belle; several extended family and friends.
A Life Celebration will be held 11:00am Friday, September 1st at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home. A private burial will follow. Visitation will be 4:00pm - 8:00pm, Thursday at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home, 9090 Hwy 100, Nashville, TN, 37221 harpethhills.com, 615-646-9292
