Subby Lonzo Forsee, age 89, of Smyrna, TN., went home to be with his Lord & Savior on Tuesday, May 10, 2016. He demonstrated a code of ethic, godly, honorable, productive qualities and leaves a legacy of the "Forsee Code" to his family & friends. 1} Godly: He served his Lord for over 64 years. He read the Bible through thirty-three times, and loved his local church & family. As end of life drew near, Lonzo challenged others to also be ready. For over 63 years he was an active member of an Assemblies of God church, currently, a member of River of Life Assembly of God, Smyrna. 2} Honorable: A man of integrity who was respected in the family, the work place and among friends. 3} Productive: A strong, disciplined work ethic served him from the family farm, to military service in WW II, then as a Greyhound bus driver for 33 years. He enjoyed fishing as well as working until his second retirement at age 82. This work ethic was passed to the 4th generation.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years; Frances Forsee of Smyrna, four children: Rev. Gary (Lori) Forsee of Millington, TN; Rev. Glenn (Linda) Forsee of Shelbyville, TN.; Gail Drye of Shelbyville, TN.; Anita Andrews of La Vergne, TN.; brothers, Clyde (Gloria) Forsee of Bel Alton, MD.; Howard (Joyce) Forsee of Dickson, TN., one sister, Bertha (Sam) Hooper of Bon Aqua, TN.; 6 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren. He was known as "Uncle Bud" to 20 nieces & nephews and respected as the family patriarch.
He is preceded in death by his parents; James & Rosetta Forsee, brothers; Hoover Forsee, James Forsee; sisters, Marie Wooverton, Edna Mae Ross, Vivian Harvey.
