Sue Montgomery

Sue B. Montgomery, October 18, 2016 Age, 74. A very devoted wife and mother who loved, supported and encouraged her children and touched the lives of many people.

Sue graduated in 1960 from Hillsboro High School and from Vanderbilt University in 1964. She worked as a speech pathologist at the Bill Wilkerson Hearing and Speech Center and at the Vanderbilt Cerebral Palsy Clinic. Upon arrival of her twin sons, she became a full-time mother loving every minute and cherishing family life. Sue was very active in her boys' schools and activities. She was actively involved in the Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary, Woodmont Christian Church Circle # 1, and was a life master duplicate bridge player at Vanderbilt Bridge Club.

She is survived by her twin sons, David Montgomery, Phillip Montgomery and wife, Cindy; grandchildren, Eli, Ellie and Jack; sister, Betsy Johnson; brother, William Billips and wife, Gwen; nieces, Allison Billips and Karen Boots and husband, Shad; nephews, Kaden Young, Will Billips and B.J. Billips.

A Celebration of Life Service will be at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at Woodmont Christian Church. Visitation will be held immediately following the service.
