Preceded in death by her daughter, Lily Mae Goad; parents, Robert and Martha Burton; brothers, Melvin and Johnny Burton.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Ray Mims; daughters, Connie Wright (Doug) and Kelli Guy (Mark); grandchildren, Lori, Susan, Robert, Nikki, Jesse and Katie; great-grandchildren, Brittany, Brennan and Brooke; sisters, Mary and Betty; brothers, Carl, Buddy, Dewey and Billy.

Sue was a very loving wife and mother. She loved God and her family and truly loved everyone. She enjoyed her brother and sister get togethers, music, dancing and playing her PlayStation video games. Sue loved shopping at Belk and loved deals! She loved her jewelry, especially her rings.

Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will be at 9 a.m. on Thursday, February 23 at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Middle TN State Veterans Cemetery.
