Teressa "Nana" Gardner, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on September 13, 2023, at the age of 59 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Born on October 22, 1963, in Dickson, Tennessee, she was a vibrant soul who lived her life to the fullest.
Teressa is preceded in death by her son, Buddy, sister, Darlene, niece, Sandy, nephew, Joe Luna and grandparents, Wallace Marie Daniel (John Clyde Daniel).
Survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Darrell Gardner, children, Amanda (Fred) Jones, Brandie (Sassah) Gardner, Johnathon (Emily) Gardner, grandchildren, Chase Jones, Kyle George, Bailey (Sarah) Jones, Kelsey Jones, Tres Gardner and Seth Gardner, great granddaughter, Jocelyn Jones A.K.A Cutie Pie, mother, Sandra Sterry, sisters, Tracy Luna and Kim (Mike) Fuson, brother, Robbie Sterry and several loving nieces and nephews.
Nana had a warm and affectionate spirit that touched the lives of all those around her. Her contagious laughter and joyful presence could light up any room. She had an innate ability to make people laugh with her witty sense of humor and captivating storytelling.
She loved shopping and finding unique treasures that reflected her vibrant personality. Also, music was her constant companion, and she would often be found dancing around the house to her favorite Country or Rock and Roll tunes.
One of Nana's favorite pastimes was playing bingo while enjoying sour candies, like Sweettarts. Nature held a special place in Nana's heart. She enjoyed camping trips and fishing, especially in the serene mountains surrounding Tennessee.
Teressa "Nana" Gardner leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and compassion that will forever be imprinted on the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
The celebration of Teressa "Nana" Gardner's remarkable life will take place on Tuesday September 19, 2023. Visitation will be from 11:30 am until The Celebration of Life ceremony will 1:30 pm all held at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home located at 9090 TN-100 Nashville, TN.
