Theodore "Ted" Tiesler

January 10, 1938 — September 27, 2024

Nashville

Ted Tiesler went home to be with his Savior, Jesus, at his residence in Nashville, TN. The Lord blessed Ted with a wonderful wife, Betty. They were married in 1964. God gave them three children: Libby, Jay and Amanda “Mandy”. Ted is survived by his daughter Amanda Ulrich (Tim); his brother, Tom Tiesler; daughter in law Carrie Tiesler (Ryan); granddaughters Jessica Durai, Isabelle Tiesler, Sophie Tiesler; brother in law Billy Warren; nieces Sarah Warren, Cathy Finney (Mike), Carol Wendell, Connie Weisner (Rick), Chris Clarke (Gary), Karlin Crockett; nephews Ken Crockett (Melanie), Adrian Warren, Casey Tiesler (Beth), Jake Tiesler (Naomi), Daniel Tiesler (Julianna). Ted is preceded in death by his wife, Betty, his two children, Libby and Jay Tiesler as well as his parents Elmer Carter and Dorothea Amanda Tiesler.

His boyhood was full of stories from his outdoor adventures with the guys. Ted and Betty were youth leaders in their church at Redeemer and Concordia Lutheran. They loved to dance and were a part of the Young Nashvillians. BB King was a favorite artist of Ted’s.

He was diligent as a concrete contractor with his family business, Tiesler and Son. He taught many young people how to work with integrity. Later in his career he opened his own supply delivery business in partnership with A & M sales. Ted was known for his kindness, generosity and patience.

At the gym, he was well known for his consistency. When he retired, he was given volunteer of the year award at the Bellevue YMCA. In the evenings, Ted could be found reading the bible or other books, finding solace in the quiet of his home.

Ted’s bravery and endurance in life inspired all who knew him. He was dedicated to serving others and living a life filled with joy and peace. Thank you, Dad, for being faithful and courageous.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church by mail or in person, or to Mur-ci Home online.
