Thomas Ray Clayton

Thomas Ray Clayton, affectionately known as Ricky, age 70, passed away peacefully in his home with his family at his bedside in White Bluff, Tennessee on Sunday, January 5, 2025. He was born to the late Tilmon Thomas Clayton and Luda Bell Clayton on June 24, 1954, in Sheffield, Alabama.

 Ricky was of the Christian faith and Baptist denomination. He graduated from Hazelwood High School. Ricky loved to hunt, fish, ride Harleys and watch westerns. He also loved spending time with his family and friends but would most often find him watching Alabama football and hollering “Roll Tide!” Everyone who knew Ricky knew what a loving, giving, and fun man he was.

 Ricky is preceded in death by his parents listed above. He is survived by his loving wife of fifty years, Charlotte (Brown) Clayton; children, Dewayne Clayton (Allison), Daryl Clayton, Ashley Kimbrough (Josh), and beloved pet, Rusty. Ricky is also survived by his siblings, Sharon McGill (Tommy), Darlene Blakenship (Kim), Roger Clayton, Randy Clayton, and Susan Cochran (Todd); grandchildren, Thomas Clayton (Sydney), Taylor Manus, Peyton Manus, Olivia Clayton (Tay), Haley Clayton, and Jameson “Lil J” Kimbrough; and one great-grandchild, Alaya Clayton.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

 A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, from 4:00pm until 7:00pm and on Thursday, January 9, 2025, from 9:00am until the hour of service. The funeral service will begin in the chapel of Harpeth Hills Funeral Home on Thursday, January 9, at 10:00am with burial to follow.
