Thomas Edward LeVan, Sr., age 89, of Nashville, TN, passed away on March 8, 2022.
Mr. LeVan was born on January 11, 1933, in Paducah, KY, to the late Benjamin Franklin LeVan, Sr. and Lillian Marie Cope. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Marie Louise Brooks LeVan , brother Benjamin Franklin LeVan, Jr., and son Robert William LeVan.
Mr. LeVan, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather proudly served in the United States Army. His later occupations included Aerojet, working on rocket engines; General Motors in the transmission engineering department; and preaching for 20 years. In his life journey, he owned his own single-engine plane at one point, and flew from California to Michigan twice, enjoying other trips as well. He was a giving and loving man, known by many as “Paw Paw.”
Survivors include his sister Frances LeVan Nance; his sons Thomas Edward (Sharon) LeVan and Kevin David LeVan (Lisa); grandchildren Nancy LeVan Boorman, Eric Thomas LeVan and James Robert LeVan.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
