Born in Loafer's Corner-Smyrna, TN. Preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Vanna Melton Vaughn, his mother Ola Mae Maness, father Willie Richard Acey Vaughn, brothers, Will, Clarence, Jesse, Walter, Granville, and his very special sister, Minnie Bell Wagoner.
Tom is survived by his 3 children, Joy Willwerth (Rich), Sandra Kuhns (Steve), and Thomas Benton Vaughn, Jr. (Kim), 7 grandchildren-Klay Kuhns, Kandace Withrow, Kara Morris, Scot Willwerth, Thomas Benton Vaughn III (Trey), Jacob Vaughn, and Jessi Vaughn and 12 great grandchildren.
Tom was a long time member of Berry's Chapel Church of Christ, where he previously served as an Elder for a time. He Retired from Ford Glass Plant in 1989 after 32 years of service, sold Real Estate and retired his license in 2004.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday, December 3rd at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home. A life celebration service will be held at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Harpeth Hills Funeral Home with Mr. Jerrie Barber officiating. Interment will follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.
Donations may be made to Berry's Chapel Church of Christ in Franklin.
