Timothy "Tim" Akers

Mr. Timothy Wayne Akers age 59, of Franklin, TN. passed away on August 30, 2021 with his family by his side.

Tim was born in Madison, TN. on May 18, 1962. Tim was an accomplished musician, arranger, producer, composer, and the leader of the Tim Akers and The Smoking Section Band.

Survivors include his wife and love of his life, Dianna Akers, parents; William J. Akers and Billie Faye Cox Akers, daughter; Camille Akers Blinn, son-in-law, Jesse Blinn, son; Chase Akers, grandchildren; Lucy Blinn and Adaline Blinn, brother, James D. Akers, sister-in-law, Marina Akers.

A celebration of Tim’s life will be held on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at Bethel World Outreach Church, 5670 Granny White Pike, Brentwood, TN. 37027, doors will open at 5:30 pm with downbeat to begin at 6:30 pm.
