Celebration of Life for Verna Lee Jacks, age 85, of Clarksville, will be held Friday, September 7, 2018, at 2:00 pm at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens Funeral Home in Nashville, with Brother Jason Sage officiating. Burial will follow. Verna passed from this life Tuesday morning with her family at her bedside.

Visitation will be held Friday, September 7, from 12:00pm until 2:00pm at the funeral home.

Born October 10, 1932, in Haleyville, AL, she was the daughter of the late H.C. DeFoor & Carrie Kidd DeFoor. She was also preceded in death by daughter Marilyn Bullington and siblings Kermit DeFoor and L.V. Cagle.
She was a life-long homemaker, loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a faithful Christian, attending North 2nd Ave Church of Christ in Clarksville, TN.

She is survived by her loving husband, Elbert K. Jacks, of 68 years; her children, Anita Lynn (David) and Teresa Graves (Daniel), and son-in-law, Rhea Bullington; her grandchildren Lea Ann Elliott (Win), Gina Lynn, Chad Lynn (Laura), Brandon Graves (Teresa), Bryan Graves (Stephanie), and Amanda Johnson (Drew); and her 16 great grandchildren. She is survived by her brother, Eldon DeFoor, and her sisters, Era Martin, Nettie Kilpatrick, and Doris Kirkpatrick, and several nieces and nephews.
