Viola Frances Schmidt Guepe- age 103 passed away on February 10, 2016. Born in Milwaukee, WI on December 13, 1912, she is preceded in death by her husband, Arthur L. Guepe, former Vanderbilt Head Football Coach, '53-'62; sisters, Annette Gribble and Alice Gee; parents, Frank J. and Anna Schmidt. She is survived by children, Arthur A. Guepe of Louisville, KY, Ann Guepe Harris and Richard T. Guepe (Susan) of Peachtree Corners, GA; grandchildren, Ann Guepe, Susan Simpson (Stephen), Jennifer Jewell (Bobby) of Louisville, KY, Arthur Guepe (Annette) of Jeffersonville, IN, Scott Ellspermann (Sherri) of Stuttgart, Germany, Dawn Hostettler, Brian Ellspermann of Glenwood Springs, CO and Ashley Hall (Tracy); 11 great-grandchildren and sister, Marilyn Malloy of Milwaukee, WI.
Visitation will be on Saturday, February 13, 2016 from 9:30-11am at St. Matthew Catholic Church, with Funeral Mass to follow at 11am. Interment will be held in Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.
