Age 89, of Murfreesboro, formerly of Nashville passed away November 7, 2017.
Mrs. Briley was a cheerful, giving, loving and loyal Christian woman. She loved working in her flowers, bird watching and cooking. She was well known for her famous fried chicken. She was at her happiest, making others happy and loved being around her family and friends. She was a retiree from Life & Casualty / American General Insurance Company. She was also a member of East Main Church of Christ. She loved her faith & family. She will always be remembered for her smile and compassionate heart.
Preceded in death by her husband, Virgle Briley; son, John Briley, father, Newton Siske, mother, Eunice Siske, brother, Allen Siske; sisters, Josephine Mann & Esther Mingle. Survived by her grandchildren, Travis Briley (Tiffany) & Amber Colvin (Heath); great-grandchildren, Donovan Briley, Abbie McKnight & Aidan McKnight; sister, Geveva Gregory; brothers, John W. "J.W." Siske & Steve Siske.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
A Life Celebration will be held 2:30pm, Saturday, November 11th with Pastor Charles Mingle officiating. Visitation will be 4-8pm, Friday & 1-2:30pm, Saturday at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home, 9090 Hwy 100, Nashville, TN, 37221 harpethhills.com
