Walter Baxter Masters

Walter Baxter Masters, 78 of Franklin, TN., passed away on October 9, 2022, at Brookdale Belle Meade Senior Living, Nashville, TN. after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease.

Baxter was born July 11, 1944, in Glasgow, KY. grew up in Lynchburg, TN. graduating high school and Tennessee Tech, University, Cookeville, TN. in 1966 with a degree in Industrial Arts, he moved to DeKalb County, GA. teaching high school and at DeKalb Tech Jr. College. After two years, he made a career change and became design engineer with Reliance Electric, Stone Mountain, GA. from there, he took a job as Regional Sales Manager with MM Systems, Tucker, GA., designing metal roofing. This led him to Nashville, TN. in 1978 where he opened his own business, Masters & Sons Co, Inc. as a manufacturer's rep and distributor of commercial roofing products. He retired in 2005.

He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 50 years, Patricia M. Masters; son, Walter Darin Masters (Jennifer); stepson, Keith Brooks; daughter, Christie Warner; grandchildren, Sam, Drew, Cody, Jake, Sidney; great granddaughter, Amelia. Survived by sisters Kim Bohnert (Jerry); Gail Buckner (Buck); brother, Colin Masters (Dot); many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death, by his parents Walter Daniel and Glade Masters, sister, Ann Roder.

Visitation will begin on Thursday, October 13, 2022, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm and on Friday, October 14, 2022, at 11:00 am until funeral service at 11:30 am with burial to follow. All services will be held at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home, 9090 Hwy 100, Nashville, TN. 37221.
