Wanda Sue Cox, a beloved member of the community, passed away on November 6, 2023, in Nashville, TN. She was born on March 25, 1959, in Rapid City, South Dakota.
Preceded in death by her loving husband of 41 years Richard Cox and parents Alfred and Thelma St. Pierre.
Survived by her children, Matthew (Laura) Cox, Brandi Cox; grandchildren, Christopher Cox, Madison Cox, Zachary Cox, Elizabeth Cox; brother, Gerald St. Pierre and numerous friends and loved ones.
After graduating from Antioch High School, Wanda pursued her passion for medicine by attending medical assistant school. It was there that she honed her skills and developed a strong work ethic that would carry her through her remarkable career at Dialysis Clinic Inc. Wanda's commitment to helping others went beyond the walls of the clinic; she touched countless lives with her kind heart and unwavering support.
Outside of work, Wanda found solace and joy in nature. She had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and cherished moments spent surrounded by its beauty. Wanda's love for photography allowed her to capture those breathtaking scenes forever. She particularly enjoyed capturing the elegance of birds through her lens. Her talent brought these vibrant creatures to life in stunning detail.
In addition to her passion for nature and photography, Wanda had a special place in her heart for animals. She had a beloved cockatiel who brought joy and laughter into her life with its playful antics. Her faithful dog, Ginko, held a special place in her heart as well. Their unwavering loyalty and unconditional love provided comfort during difficult times.
Friends and family will gather to honor and remember Wanda at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home located at 9090 Highway 100 in Nashville, TN. The visitation will take place on Friday, November 10, 2023, from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM with a Celebration of Life at 1:30 PM and the burial to immediately follow.
Wanda will always be remembered for her unwavering dedication, kindness, and love for both her patients and the natural world around her. She brightened the lives of those fortunate enough to know her through her compassionate care and talent for capturing beauty through the lens of her camera. Wanda's memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved her.
