Wardie Lewis

Wardie Blye Lewis, age 83 of Fairview, TN passed away on May 9, 2021.  Wardie will be remembered as a loving wife of 63 years to Gene Lewis. She was a devoted mother to her two sons, Dale and Nick and a beloved Granny to her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Wardie enjoyed sewing, gardening and attending Vanderbilt basketball games where she and her friends had season tickets for many years. Our little Wardie will always be known for her lively sense of humor, her warm and tender heart and her incredible giving nature.

She was born in Perry County, TN on January 7th, 1938 to the late Herchel and Dorothy (Barber) Mercer.  She was also preceded in death by her brother Conrad (Bud) Mercer.

She is survived by her loving and caring husband Gene Lewis, sons, Dale (Rosa) Lewis; Nick (Kathleen) Lewis, Sisters, Mazelle Horner, Carolyn Trull; Grandchildren, Keeli (Adam) Kelchner, Cara (Tommy) Lahey, Rachel (Dusty) England, Sidney (Ryan) Hall, Burk Lewis, Julia Perkins and 7 great grandchildren.
