Webb, Warren W. Died August 6, 2018. Born February 20, 1924, LaGrange, MO. Son of the late Rev. and Mrs. W. Wright Webb of Madisonville, TN. Predeceased by beloved wife of 64 years, Celia R. Webb. Graduate of Newbern HS, Newbern, TN, University of North Carolina and Duke University (Ph.D.). Served in USNR during WWII as an Ensign. Was Professor of Psychiatry (Psychology) Emeritus, Vanderbilt University Medical School, Member Medical School Admissions Committee, Committee for the Protection of Human Subjects. Member Tennessee Board of Examiners in Psychology, Vice President Tennessee Psychological Association, organized and chaired Vanderbilt-Peabody Internship in Professional Psychology. Published some 34 professional papers including the first History of the Department of Psychiatry and co-authored the First Grade Screening Test. Was a member of the American Psychological Association, et al. Honors include Phi Beta Kappa, Sigma Xi and the Josephus Daniels Medal for Proficiency in Naval Science. Survived by sons David (Susan) of Atlanta and Ross of Nashville, grandson Charles Warren of Atlanta, and numerous nieces and nephews. In later years, renewed friendship with Rogers family of Dyersburg. Request no flowers nor memorial gifts. Interment will be at Harpeth Hills Memorial Gardens, 9090 Hwy. 100, Nashville, TN 37221 (615-646-9292) with the graveside service at 11:30 am on Saturday.
