Wayne Bass

Ewing Wayne Bass, age 70, from Charlotte, Tennessee passed away on May 22, 2023. Wayne is preceded in death by his parents, Ewing Johnson, and Sudie Katherine Bass.

Survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Jane Anne Bass, daughter, Rachel (Dewayne) Tidwell, grandson, Kasen Tidwell, granddaughter, Kinsley Tidwell, daughter, Sarah (Josh) Jordan, granddaughter, Eliza Jordan, brother, Paul (Sue) Bass, sister-in-law, Karen Jerald, sister-in-law, Pam Edenfield, nieces, Stephanie Dickerson and Nicole Greene, nephews, Thomas C. Kelley and Clayton Kelley, and loving cousins.

He spent over 60 years working his way up from mechanic to owner operator at the garage his father started in 1955. All his years in the business formed many friendships serving generations of families throughout West Nashville.

Wayne was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He loved racing anything fast, classic cars, and travelling to car shows. In his spare time, he enjoyed woodworking projects, trips to the beach, and spending time with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.

There will be a Visitation Saturday May 27, 2023 from 12:00 pm until the Celebration of Life 4:00 pm all held at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home 9090 Highway 100, Nashville, TN 37221.
