WEST, Wayne Robert- age 62, Pegram, May 20, 2012. Survived by wife, Sandy E. West; daughters, Bridget Scott West Opfer and Joy Bobby West Upchurch; son, Matthew Janet Wayne West; grandchildren, William Opfer, Madeline Opfer, Kayleigh West, Brianna Upchurch, Cheyenne Madden, Trinity West, Melanie West; mother, Georgia West DeGeorge; brothers, Kerby West, Roger West; adopted brothers, Wendall, Bob and Michael Smith; sisters, Diana Caruthers, Virginia McKinney, Cathy West Barbree and several nephews and nieces. Preceded in death by father, Kerby O. West; step-father, Michael DeGeorge; sister, Reba West Spicer. RD and Mary Edith Smith and Dan Smith. Wayne was a kind, loving, giving, devoted, father, grandfather, son, and great friend to anyone who knew him. He loved the outdoors rain or shine, gardening, and helping his family and friends. Wayne made a career in the outdoors in the construction industry for 44 years. He loved his work and the people around him. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. A life celebration service will be at 11am onFriday, May 25th at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.
