Wesley Thomas "Tommy" Jones

Wesley Thomas "Tommy" Jones, known fondly as Tommy to his family and friends, passed away on May 14, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of dedication, service, and love. Born in Nashville, TN on May 16, 1941, Tommy's journey through life was filled with moments of joy and a steadfast commitment to those he cherished.

Tommy is preceded in death by his parents, Wesley and Vera Jones; daughters, Candice Jones and Wendy Hoppe; and brother, Mason Jones.

Tommy is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Cathey Jones; daughter, Connie (Joe) Wallace; grandchildren, Ashley (Matt) Proctor, Shelby (Seth) Blair, and Amber (Shane) Lewis; grandchildren Mia, Kya, Emi, Blake, Adi, Lane, Colt, Brooklyn, and SJ; sister, Cheryl (Tony) Daugherty.
 
 Tommy's professional career was marked by his unwavering sense of duty and commitment to the community. As a Brentwood Police Officer, Tommy served with honor and integrity, eventually retiring in 2002 after many years of service. His passion led him to become the first detective to head criminal investigations and later serve as the lieutenant of CID. Tommy's impact on the force and the lives he touched throughout his career will always be remembered.
 
 Beyond his distinguished career, Tommy embodied a spirit of adventure for various hobbies. He found solace in watching western movies from his favorite recliner and experienced the thrill of riding horses, participating in rodeos and barrel races. Tommy's connection to the land was profound, as he loved working around the farm and sharing the simple joys of letting his grandkids pick green beans.
 
 Tommy will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Tommy's memory will live on through the stories shared by those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Visitation will be held Sunday, May 19^th, from 1-6pm and Monday, May 20^th, from 12-1pm. A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, May 20^th, at 1:00pm with a graveside service at 2:30pm. All services will be held at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home and Memory Gardens.
