William R. "Bill" Fly, Jr.-Age 73, of Pegram, passed away October 28, 2020.
Bill was a dependable, handy and generous man. He could fix anything. He enjoyed being outdoors, working on cars, especially Fords, doing machine shop work and woodworking. He was an Elder of West Nashville Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He was also a retiree of The United States Army after 37 ½ years of dedicated service during which time he served in Vietnam. He loved his family, church and country.
Preceded in death by his parents Mildred Powell Fly and William Raleigh Fly, Sr. Survived by his loving wife of 53 years Emily Fly; children Millie Sweeney (Kirk), Billy Fly (Kelli) and Mandy Heller (Darryl); grandchildren Catelyn Sweeney, Kendall Sweeney and Eliot Fly; sister Carol Backus (Lonnie); brothers Steve Fly (Cynthia) and Michael Fly (Terrie).
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to West Nashville Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Alive Hospice or The Alzheimer's Association of Tennessee
A Life Celebration will be held 12:00pm Monday, November 2nd. Visitation will be 4:00pm-7:00pm, Sunday and 11:00am-12:00pm, Monday.
