William R. Johnson "Bones"- Age 77, passed away at home on February 2, 2015 after a courageous battle with cancer. The son of Russell Tack Johnson and Pearl Dee Alberty. He was born on July 27, 1937 in Rockford, IL. He married his love, Carolyn on April 12, 1975. He is preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Johnson; brother, Richard Johnson; niece Tracy Johnson. Survived by sons, Russell William Johnson of Nashville, TN, Richard C. Johnson (Kristi Daugherty) of Kingston Springs, TN; daughter, Kimberly Bohn (George) of Machesney Park, IL; sister, Patricia A. Johnson of Rockford, IL; grandchildren, Jennifer Johnson of Gallatin, TN, Airman 1st Class Zachary G. Johnson, USAF Greenland, Amanda Bohn of Mach Park, IL and Tack William Kirk Johnson of Kingston Springs; step-grandchildren, Dillon Krantz and Allison Jackson of Kingston Springs, TN.

Bill served proudly in the U.S. Army, USAF and IL National Guard. He spent his career at Link Systems in Nashville, as VP of Sales. Golf was his first love and was a member of the USGA and TN Golf Association where he served in many golf functions. He played golf around the country and once played a round with Mr. Cub Ernie Banks. He was a Chicago Bear fan and Cub fan.
