William “Bill” Harwood age 75, of West Nashville, was called home to be with our Lord and Savior on November 8, 2021.
Bill was a devoted husband for 45 years, a loving father, and an adoring grandfather. His favorite days were time spent with family and those he loved like family. Bill loved to spend time outdoors hiking, camping, playing golf, or traveling. His greatest gift was the ability to show love and kindness to others and make people laugh with pranks, corny jokes, and other antics.
Bill grew up in Riverside, CA. After high school, he joined the Army, learned to fly helicopters, then served in the Army Corps of Engineers where he piloted landing craft mechanized (LCM) and performed other engineering services in Vietnam.
Like his father, Bill was a talented woodworker and the handyman on call for family and friends, since he could build or fix just about anything.
Bill is survived by his loving wife, Janet, daughter Shelly (Tracy), son Todd (Denise), three grandchildren, Amy (Bryce), Emily, & John, twin great granddaughters Emma & Scarlett, granddaughter by love Allison Mancuso, and brother Robert (Susan).
